Allegedly, Hornets tried to dispute Mark Williams’ failed physically, which led to Lakers -trade withdrawn

The Charlotte Hornets try to find out what they have to do after their trade with the Los Angeles Lakers failed.

The Hornets have had contact with the NBA and investigate their options to dispute Mark Williams’ failed physical assessment, reported ESPN’s Shams Charania on Monday evening. The Hornets weigh “weigh” to challenge the evaluation process of the Lakers or to find an alternative resolution with the competition. It is unclear what that resolution can be.

The Lakers acted Rookie Dalton servant and Cam Reddish, together with a future concept choice and a pick wap, on the Hornets for Williams for the deadline last week. But on Saturday that deal was withdrawn after Williams had not passed the physical physical of the Lakers.

The players involved in the deal have since returned to their original teams.

According to ESPN, physical physical problems showed multiple problems. It is unclear what those problems were specific, although Williams missed nearly 60% of the possible competitions for the Hornets during his three seasons in the competition due to various injuries. He only played in 23 games this season due to a foot injury.

This season Williams has an average of 15.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per match for Charlotte, who selected him with the number 15 -pick in 2022 from Duke. He seemed to fit well to play in Los Angeles next to Luka Dončić. Williams went inside and replaces Anthony Davis in the middle, after the Lakers had taken him away for Dončić a few days earlier.

The Lakers are now short -handed in the position. Jaxson Hayes is the only center mentioned on their selection, so they will find a resolution in the near future. Regardless of how the hornets tackle it, but they want to clearly go as an option from Williams.
