2024 season: 4-13, fourth in AFC West, Missed Play-Offs
Overview: It was a difficult season for the Raiders, their first and only full under head coach Antonio Pierce. While they won two of their last three games, the Raiders immediately lost 10 at one point and missed the play -offs for a third consecutive campaign.
They struggled to find some consistency, especially with Quarterback. They rotated between Gardner Minshew II, Aidan O’Connell and Desmond Knight due to injuries and overall bad play. The Raiders fired offensive coordinator Luke Getssy after just nine games, together with two other positive coaches in November.

To make matters worse, the Raiders began to win at the end of the season. Although this can be a good sign for the franchise – getting a little positive momentum in the low season, it is rarely a bad thing – it has moved the raiders from position to land what their first number 1 would be a general design choice since 2007. Considering. The needs of the team (we will get on later), that finish can make this considerably more difficult in Las Vegas outside the season.
The team made a very solid rent in Pete Carroll to replace Pierce with head coach. If someone starts to bring veteran leadership into the franchise, it is Carroll.

Who is in/out: The Raiders have to work to keep Moehrig out of season this season. The former TCU star had 104 tackles last season, a career-high and two interceptions. He has been a top-15 safety in the competition in interceptions, forced incomplete speed, tackles for loss or no profit and defensive stops in the past two seasons, according to Pro Football Focus. For a defense that loses a good part of his starters, Moehrig is an easy guy to keep in the neighborhood.

Why the holes? In addition to the defensive holes with which the team is confronted, the Raiders must spend a bit to give their new quarterback a solid supporting cast so that he can succeed immediately. The Raiders had on average a competition-strict 79.8 yards on the ground last season, so a veteran who walks back would go a long way if they do not want to pick up selection cherries in the design. A proven goal of a broad recipient would also help and would support Brock Bowers tightly. And of course, an extra lineman or two never huts.

Do they have the money?
Yes. The Raiders enter the low season with an estimated $ 95.6 million in CAP space, which is second in the competition behind only the New England Patriots.
Remarkable potential cuts
QB Gardner Minshew II
C Andre James

Why they might be gone: Both would be easy cuts for the Raiders and would save them a considerable amount. Minshew signed, despite the start of a good bastard of last season, a two-year-old deal with the team and will have a salary-cap number of $ 14 million next season. With the Raiders probably continue to a new quarterback, there is no reason to keep it close.
James lost his runway last season at the Rookie Center Jackson Powers-Johnson, and the team could save more than $ 3 million if they drop the veteran after 1 June.

Good fit
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Raiders must select a new franchise quarterback with their first choice. There is no real other option here. The team has not had a good leader at the position since Derek Carr, and it is almost impossible to build a successful team without a consistent presence that leads the attack.

And who can do that better than Sanders? Last season, the Colorado star threw up for 4,134 Yards and 37 touchdowns while he revived the Buffaloes program alongside his father, Dion and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. Sanders is an accurate high -level passer that has supplied at university level. Although it will not be perfect immediately, the potential is absolutely there. The Raiders need a good long -term franchise QB to bring stability into the franchise, and Sanders is that guy.
Tackling Quarterback
The fantasy outlook from Las Vegas continues to depend on a capable quarterback, because it remains the top position of the team of Nood. The Raiders can take a step in the design or via a free desk, but fantasy managers begging Las Vegas to get Brock Bowers a QB. Bowers has the top 10 overall fantasy upper, but his 112 catches as Rookie resulted in a modest five touchdowns. The raiders who upgrade at Quarterback would move the needle. –Dalton del Don
