Despite a few losses at the top, we will look at a selection framework in the SEC this weekend.

Here everything you missed is in week 14 of the basketball season of the college and the latest basketball poll from Associated Press.

Auburn lost his first competition in more than two months this last weekend and ended his dominant run on top of the national poll.

The Tigers fell at home on Saturday afternoon to Florida 90-81, who broke their 14-game win-streak they managed to maintain, despite the brief losing of Ster Johni Broome. The victory for the Gators marked their second above a top team this season. They previously achieved a 30-point victory over Tennessee. As a result, they jumped to number 3 in this week’s poll. Auburn, despite the loss, still managed to hold the number 1 ranking.

Duke also followed after the loss of Auburn. Cooper Flagg and the Blue Devils, who came in the night on a 16-game win-streak after absolutely dominating the ACC, slid up at Clemson. The Tigers Zangt Duke to win a 77-71 victory and cause a court storm in South Carolina.

Although the game itself was great, was the best part of the night. The old ESPN caller called the game, his first in almost two years, after fighting cancer many times. He also crushed it and witnessed an incredible upset in what he called his ‘super bowl’.

As a result, Duke dropped a place and tied Florida number 3 in this week’s poll. It seemed as if both losses would have paved the way for Alabama to jump to number 1. The Crimson Tide rode on Saturday to a 24-point victory in Arkansas in what their sixth consecutive victory was. But instead Alabama only moved a place and Auburn still follows. They travel to Texas before they organize this Saturday in what will now be a matchup between the top two teams in the nation.

Tennessee then completed the top five after the rare draw. Elsewhere in the poll, St. Johns moved to no. Die that has marked the highest ranking of the program since the 1999-2000 campaign. The Rick Pitino team beat both Marquette and UConn last week, which extended their win -streak to 10 games. Arizona also climbed seven places to no. 13, after the victory over Texas Tech on Saturday.

The best remaining opponent of the Blue Devils on their schedule is Illinois, which has been hanging at the bottom of the ranking for weeks. Although the ACC is almost certain of them to lose, the loss of Saturday proves that they are still absolutely defeated to enter the last part of the season.

Regarding the SEC, well that is still someone’s conference to win.
