by The Electric Super-GT is the first completely new Jaguar since the I-PACE was launched at the beginning of 2018. It will pack to the north of 575 hp and have a range of more than 430 miles of a single load. It will be born from the Jaguar Type 00 concept, unveiled in December during an event in Miami.
Testing in the snowy conditions in the vicinity of the polar circle, this is the second time that the super-gt prototype has been spied on, with these new photos that reveal more details about the car that will lead the next generation of Jaguar.
For example, the images show the heaviest camouflage car for the first time, which confirms a lack of a rear window, similar to the new Polestar 4. This was shown on the type 00 concept of December and previously reported by Autocar as an important function of the Next generation models from Jaguar.
The photos also show off with thin split rear lights – clearly a more practical interpretation of the double light sheets of the concept. Just like the concept, it has a heavily sculpted back. The new images also reveal an interesting back door design that houses a small window and runs backwards above the rear wheel arch, which cuts in the bodywork.
Under the heavy camouflage of this early prototype, it is clear that the GT will be a large, low-same salon with a rakish, coupé-like roof line, a generous wheelbas to give a cabin-reksilhouette reminiscent of some of Jaguar’s largest biggest -Motor models from the past.
Interesting is that in size and shape it is not so different that the electric Jaguar XJ was exhibited halfway through the development program in 2021, although it will not have a relationship with that car.
The front of the new Jaguar model will be dominated by a distinctive new lighting set-up consisting of ultra-slim LED strips that will be almost invisible if they are out, but they will be treated entirely on this test car.
The only design element that is recognizable from earlier Jaguar models on this car is the pre-grill panel, which is the same shape as that of the i-Pace, but Camouflage is clearly visible under it, which strongly suggests that it is not functional and won it -Function on the production car. Instead, electric jaguars carries a completely new face centered around a new decorative ‘grille’ and a new interpretation of the Jaguar-Badge.
Inside
It is unlikely that we will see the interior before the official unveiling later this year, but sources suggest that the future huts of Jaguar will be very minimalist and technically heavy things, largely omitting buttons in favor of touch controls and dominated by a wrapped infotainment interface That spans the width of the dashboard, with a secondary touchscreen in the center console for climate control and audio functions.
We expect this new model to be unveiled at the end of the end 2025and it to arrive on the road 2026.
